Aleph Beauty

We are looking for a Digital Content Creator to join us full time at Aleph HQ in East Auckland. 2021 start date with flexibility for the right applicant.

This role is for the creative collaborator, someone who has a design lens and the skills to bring our vision to life.

The Digital Content Creator will be responsible for creating a consistent brand aesthetic across all internal and external channels. Working collaboratively within the Sales & Marketing team to develop innovative, engaging content and creative output that reflects our brand. This includes managing our Instagram and Facebook accounts, with daily posting and stories, planning and copywriting.

This is a vital role that supports the cohesiveness of all brand communication and customer-facing content through the creation of beautiful and impactful graphic design, photography and videography.

Our purpose at Aleph Beauty is being aware and considerate of our impact on people, planet and animals through everything we do – with our customers, our partners, suppliers, and most importantly, our team.

We are carefully building our founding team and are keen to invest in people that have the passion and motivation to drive our brand forward. In return, we offer a supportive work environment that encourages your own personal and professional growth.

We are a close-knit team of creative, innovative thinkers who love to work collaboratively. Our fast-paced, start-up environment offers a high level of autonomy, and we all wear many hats. No day is the same at Aleph HQ, with on-the-go projects, fast-paced deadlines and the flexibility to adapt as needed.

We like to work with people who are fun, collaborative and up for a challenge. We thrive in an environment that brings creatives together to develop exciting initiatives that impact change and enhance our customer experience.

A personality that thrives in a growing SMB environment, where you love getting your hands dirty to learn and grow with the brand. You’re a dynamic team-player, with a strong sense of ownership and drive to achieve.

Your excellent organisation skills and forward-thinking give you the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks while being adaptable and flexible to on-demand changes. As new challenges arise, you’re ready to take it all on and apply yourself in areas where you feel you can contribute.

You’ve got a passion for makeup and skincare, with your finger on the pulse of the social realm, the beauty industry and other media you take inspiration from. In addition to an eye for design, aesthetic and detail.

If you are warm, kind and friendly, love to get things done, make things happen and have a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you. Because we’ll be inundated with responses, we will only be looking at applicants who prove that they don’t miss a beat by including “I’m people, planet and animal friendly” in the subject line when applying for this position.

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and video editing.

  • Experience in photography, working with photographers, models or producing photoshoots.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to develop high-quality content quickly without faulting on attention to detail.

  • Having worked within the beauty, advertising or media industry for the past two years OR hold a relevant university degree.

The ‘all-round’ nature of this role will perfectly suit someone looking for variety in their day-to-day job. As this job can vary so much, these are some indicators of the type of responsibilities you would expect on any given day:

  • Take ownership of social accounts to build following, increase engagement and develop our brand story.

  • Create and implement content for social channels, including posts, stories and captions.

  • Work with the Marketing team to map content for the coming month, planning in accordance with other marketing initiatives such as upcoming product launches, PR opportunities and more.

  • Maintain the highest knowledge of product information, features and benefits, target audience, brand angles and strategic positioning of the brand.

We offer a competitive salary, a great work environment and the flexibility that a small business offers for the right applicant who can demonstrate a commitment to our ethos.
