Being a makeup artist, our founder Emma Peters wanted to create a sustainable, natural formula that would resist smudging along the lash line and be easily used by everyone.

Options for eye definition, up until now, have mostly consisted of pencil and liquid liners that are either natural or smudge resistant. Gel Liner is designed to be both.
Pencil liners typically blur or smear and they don’t allow for clear definition or detail along the lash line. Liquid liners, on the other hand, will often flake or slip off as the day goes on. Plus, they’re almost always filled with chemicals and microplastics that can be harsh for your eyes and harmful for the planet.
Finding the right balance between oils, water and naturally-derived film-forming ingredients is the secret behind our solution. And we couldn’t be more excited about the results.

As any makeup artist knows, it’s hard to find products that give you total control. Liquid liners typically come with built-in plastic brushes. Not only is that a nightmare from a hygiene point of view, but it also means being confined to one size, shape and thickness when applying the product. Using Aleph Liner/Brow Brush, it’s possible to draw exactly the design you’re after - with ultimate control and possibilities.

SUBTLE EMPHASIS
Gel Liner Onyx is quite different from your average liquid eye pen. We fashion our products to work for you across the spectrum of looks and lines. Gel Liner is the perfect trick to discover subtle, understated definition to the eyes and lashes.
By pressing the product into the base of the lash line (avoiding the waterline), using Aleph Liner/Brow Brush, you can create the effect of thicker, fuller lashes – without drawing attention to the liner itself.
While mascara helps lengthen and strengthen lashes, the gaps at the roots of the lash line can still make them look sparse. Using Aleph Gel Liner, fill in the spaces between your lashes for definition that will subtly transform your lashes.
For understated looks that will bring more definition to your eyes, use Gel Liner to play with detailing and shape along the top lash line. Contouring along the outer edges will elongate the eyes for true elegance. Or bring out the middle of the top line to give the illusion of rounder, larger eyes.
For those with hooded eyes, it’s important to highlight the eyes by drawing attention to the lashes rather than building darker pigment around the lids. Onyx Gel Liner allows subtle definition without depth – helping emphasise features naturally.
KIND FOR YOU AND THE PLANET
Environmental sustainability and personal health are at the forefront of everything we do – which is why we avoid plastics wherever possible both in our formulas and packaging.
Developing Gel Liner without microplastics or silicones was certainly a challenge (which is why they’re so hard to find!). Usually, silicones provide occlusive and emollient properties that give a smooth texture to liquid eyeliners. We spent months trialling natural alternatives to silicone – and eventually, we landed on an ingredient derived from Castor Oil that helps reduce greasiness while also moisturising the skin and lashes.
To replace typical preservatives such as phenoxyethanol, we’re excited to be using a customised selection of natural preservatives and preservative enhancers including raspberry ketone, a natural antimicrobial. In addition to keeping the product fresh, this ingredient also helps protect the elasticity of the skin through its antioxidant properties.
When it was time to design eco-friendly packaging for Gel Liner, we knew we wanted to stick with our signature glass jar and aluminium lid. Not only are they the most sustainable option compared to single-use plastic containers, but they also make it far easier to use every bit of the product – so there’s no waste when it’s time to recycle.
We also didn’t want a built-in brush, as is typical with most liquid liners on the shelf. Using our made-to-last Aleph Liner/Brow Brush allows you to wash the tool again and again – helping eliminate unnecessary waste and purchases as well as staying more hygienic over time.
As with every product we add to our collection, Aleph Gel Liner Onyx is full of goodness, care and attention to detail. We craft our formulas with kindness – for your skin and health as well as for the planet.

DIRECTIONS
SUBTLE / TIGHTLINE: An invisible liner to define the eyes. Using Aleph Liner/Brow Brush, press Gel Liner Onyx into the base of the lashes along the length of the lash line on the lid - avoid the water line.
LINE: To intensify any eye look. Using Aleph Liner/Brow Brush, press Gel Liner Onyx along the upper lash line from the inner most lashes to the outer lashes gently gliding the brush along to create the desired thickness.
WING: Create an upturned elongated eye. Starting from either the inner lashes or the lashes above the inner edge of the iris, using Aleph Liner/Brow Brush, press Gel Liner Onyx into the base of the lashes, then gradually build to a thicker line at the outer corner.
Position Liner/Brow brush at an angle following the up curve of under eye lashes to mark the wing, then meet with the outer thickness of the line.
DRAMATIC / GRAPHIC: Creative and bold expression. Using any of the techniques above, be your own artist and create an extended wing, return the liner back into the crease or follow the inner corner of the eye to create a feline eye.
