The festive season calls for makeup that’s both effortless and elevated.
Whether you’re heading to a daytime gathering or an evening celebration, this step-by-step tutorial with Emma shows you how to create a radiant, adaptable look that transitions seamlessly from soft to smoky.
Step 1: Start With Skin
Begin by applying your perfect Aleph base. Use the Concealer/Foundation sparingly in areas that need coverage.Under the eyes, over blemishes, or wherever you’d like to even out the tone. Buff it in with the Diffuse/Buff Brush for a skin-like finish that looks healthy, not heavy.
A little product goes a long way. With the right brush and technique, you can achieve a flawless base using less than you think.
Step 2: Frame the Eyes
Brush brows into place and softly define them using the Hybrid Eye Pigment in Glint, applied with the Mascara Fan Brush. This adds a subtle frame without overpowering your natural features.
Next, tightline the eyes using the Multi-Liner Pencil in Umber or Noir — a minimal yet powerful way to bring quiet drama to the eyes.
Step 3: Build the Shape
Use Umber Pencil across the lid and up to the brow bone, then blend with the Smudge Brush for a soft, diffused base. Sweep the same shade under the lower lash line and blend to complete a subtle, daytime smoky eye.
At this stage, pair it with a nude Multi-Liner on lips and cheeks for a fresh, everyday look.
Step 4: Elevate for Evening
To take the look into night, intensify the eyes with the Noir Pencil for a deeper smoky effect. Or — if you prefer to keep the eyes understated — add a statement lip with Sangha, a neutral, vintage red that suits every skin tone.
