Foundation / Concealer

When you purchase your Aleph Foundation / Concealer colour preference, you automatically receive a sample of the colour you have selected so you can try it on your skin before opening the full product. You also are able to choose another sample on the colour spectrum (lighter or darker) to test alongside the colour you have selected.

If the colour you purchased is not right on your skin, you can send the unopened product back to us and we will send out the new colour choice at no extra charge.

Select the colour that you think best describes your skin. Our foundations are very versatile, so all you need to know is whether you’re fair, light/medium, medium/tan or medium/dark. Once you’ve added your product to cart, you’ll automatically have the same coloured sample added to your purchase and are encouraged to select a sample of another colour to try as well to try.

If you are still unsure, we offer a colour consult service to assist in finding the perfect shade.

Our concealer/ foundation colours are specially formulated to take on your own skins tone. Within minutes of application, you will notice the foundation adapt to blend seamlessly with your complexion. They also neutralise any excess redness.

Yes! Aleph founder and professional makeup artist Emma Peters can help you choose your ideal colour match, and it’s simple. Just take a selfie in natural light with a clean, makeup free face and send it to colour@alephbeauty.com and Emma will personally help you select the ideal colour match for your skin.

Yes, Aleph products are suited to numerous skin conditions. We have included nourishing oils and ingredients to help the skin thrive. Totarol is particularly active against acne, while being a potent antioxidant.

No. The entire Aleph makeup range is vegan and cruelty-free, as is the packaging and our brush. We use vegetable ink in our packaging. Our brush is vegan and has been made to the highest quality and designed to last a very long time. So while our brush comprises synthetic fibres that are not able to be recycled in the current system, your Aleph brush is designed to outlast animal hair brushes removing the need to continually replace your brush.

No. Aleph does not test on animals at any stage of the makeup formulation process.

No. Aleph suppliers do not test their ingredients on animals.

At Aleph we are committed to sustainability and maintaining a healthy planet. Our packaging is FSC certified, which means that it adheres to ten principles that honour treaties, workers’ rights, indigenous land rights, the social and economic wellbeing of local communities, long-term economic viability, natural ecosystems and environmental impacts, adaptive management, risk of management, and compliance to economic, environmental and social policies and objectives.

Our ink is vegetable ink. The outer box packaging is 100% compostable including the clear stickers on the box and base of the glass jar thanks to Pure Labels. Our aluminium lid is recyclable (remove inner liner prior and recycle separately). The glass jar is reusable and we are committed to finding the most sustainable way to recycle these as soon as possible.

When we send Aleph makeup products to you, they are carefully wrapped in home compostable bags. Please peel the label off the outer packaging and dispose of it in the garbage. Compostable courier labels are in the works.

All Aleph cosmetics are formulated and manufactured in New Zealand. We have our Vegan Diffuser Brush  manufactured in Italy.
