Decant a small amount onto the back of the hand or drop directly onto the face.

Blend using fingertips.

What I love about this SPF serum is how wearable it is. The “medium/dark” shade blends perfectly with my skin tone and acts like a tinted primer - there’s no chalkiness or white cast, just a soft, natural finish!

The lower SPF level makes it ideal for winter when I still want protection but don’t need a heavy-duty sunscreen. It doesn’t dry my skin out, which is a common issue I have with other SPF products at this time of year.

From ingredients to packaging to community, this feels like a brand doing the work. I appreciate that the ingredients are all plant-based, vegan and microplastic-free.

What's the coverage like?

The coverage is weightless and sheer. You won’t feel like you’re wearing makeup, but pores, wrinkles, and areas of pigmentation will look softly blurred - like a photo filter, except this is real life.

What kind of protection does Smoothing Skin Tint / SPF20 provide?

Smoothing Skin Tint/SPF 20 provides 20 times more protection from sunburn and UVB rays than bare skin alone. It is also PA+++ rated, meaning that it is highly protective against the spectrum of UVA rays that cause deeper layer damage to the skin.

Smoothing Skin Tint/SPF 20 was created after years of formulating, using only the highest quality ingredients that also have skin benefits, and rejecting ingredients that might provide additional SPF coverage but are potential irritants. We’ve struck a balance in creating an effective formula that also adheres to our strict standards for clean, beneficial, and ethical ingredients.

Additionally, the Aleph Concealer/Foundation contains a meaningful amount of titanium dioxide, which itself does offer SPF protection, but we are unable to have this product rated with an SPF number as each shade contains varying levels. Using Concealer/Foundation atop or beneath Smoothing Skin Tint/SPF 20 will add some level of additional protection and skin benefits.

Smoothing Skin Tint/SPF 20 gives deep hydration, blurring, and sun protection to all skin types and textures.

Do I need additional skincare underneath?

Depending on your skin, your preference, and the season, you may find that Smoothing Skin Tint/SPF 20 is perfect on its own. It also pairs beautifully with Serum/Primer, The One, and Concealer/Foundation for added hydration, skincare, and coverage. Wear it underneath or atop any Aleph makeup and skincare.

Does Smoothing Skin Tint have a fragrance?

Smoothing Skin Tint/SPF 20 is free from synthetic fragrance. The faint floral aroma of the product is due to the presence of Immortelle Flower.

What does the PA+++ rating mean and how does it help me?

PA stands for Protection Grade of UVA. UVA are the spectrum of rays that penetrate deeply into the skin and cause long-term skin damage and photoaging.

Love love love

I have sensitive skin and contact allergies so find it VERY hard to find skin products that don't irritate my skin and actually look good. This ticks all the boxes, feels great, protects my skin, doesn't irritate and looks Fab! Thanks for making such great products that are good for me and the environment 🩷

Won’t Be Without This Now

BIG thanks Aleph…I’m a convert of this product and now use it most days. I chose the Light shade which has worked well (given our summer has been very average!) & will get the medium to mix with lighter shade next summer. The texture may not be to everyone’s liking but I don’t mind it and like all Aleph products I have, it doesn’t irritate my more mature skin. . It would be nice if the container size was a bit larger so you could get the very last drop out using your fingers.

So glad you're loving this Michelle! A little trick to squeezing every last drop out, it to remove the stopper by flicking out with your Mixing Tool and then with the dropper still in and done up tight, leave it leaning upside down and carefully open and pour out when needed. This will ensure nothing is wasted! 😊

Excellent everyday & as a base!

Love it!

Provides the perfect coverage for every day wear at work, in a lab/science geek environment, where few bother with makeup. Also great as a base when needed for a more made up look.

Medium/dark is quite versatile in its colour range, so still suits when I naturally have more of a tan in summer & gives me that wee lift to face whatever the day brings.

SPF is an added bonus.

Have not tried any other skin tint products & honestly would not even bother!

Skin tint/ SPF 20

I love it . It goes on so well. You feel like you have nothing on and I were it every day and have not had any trouble with sunburn. It looks so natural on.
