About the Role

Aleph Beauty is looking for a confident, energetic and highly personable Activation Assistant to represent the brand at New Zealand Fashion Week.

Based within the Aleph Beauty activation space at Shed 10, you will help create a welcoming, polished and memorable experience for celebrities, influencers, media and ticket holders throughout the week.

You will be the sole team member working within the activation space each day, so we are looking for someone responsible, proactive and confident working independently. Support from the wider Aleph Beauty team will be available throughout the week.

This is a customer-facing role suited to a makeup artist, beauty professional or someone confident applying lip products and engaging with a wide range of people.

 

Key Responsibilities

• • Welcome guests into the Aleph Beauty activation space and introduce them to the brand.
  • Provide professional lip touch-ups using Aleph Beauty products.
  • Confidently recommend suitable lip shades and product combinations.
  • Explain key product benefits, application techniques and the Aleph Beauty brand story.
  • Engage with celebrities, influencers, media and Fashion Week attendees in a warm and professional manner.
  • Capture social content, including photographs, short-form video and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Take Polaroid photographs of guests and support any interactive elements within the activation.
  • Encourage guests to share and tag their activation experience on social media.
  • Keep the activation space clean, organised, stocked and visually immaculate throughout the day.
  • Monitor products, tools, testers, disposables and printed materials, and advise the Aleph team when supplies need replenishing.
  • Follow strict hygiene and product sanitation procedures between every guest.
  • Manage the daily opening and closing of the activation space.
  • Support light set-up, pack-down and general activation tasks as required.
  • Represent Aleph Beauty in a polished, professional and on-brand manner at all times.
  • Communicate any guest feedback, media opportunities or issues promptly to the Aleph Beauty team.
  • Be flexible and assist with other reasonable Fashion Week duties when required.

 

Person Specification

You will be:

• • A qualified makeup artist or someone experienced and confident applying lip products.
  • Outgoing, engaging and genuinely comfortable starting conversations with new people.
  • Confident working with celebrities, influencers, media and members of the public.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of the activation space.
  • Well presented, reliable and professional.
  • Interested in beauty, fashion, sustainability and current trends.
  • Comfortable appearing in and creating social media content.
  • Confident in taking high-quality photographs and short videos on a phone.
  • Organised, proactive and able to keep a busy space running smoothly.
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Available for the full contract period and able to attend the compulsory training session on Monday 10 August.
  • Previous experience in makeup artistry, beauty retail, events, hospitality, brand activations or customer service would be highly valued.
