I have to say; I adopt an "I don't care" attitude with skincare, and makeup.
According to marketers, it's a characteristic of where I am from, France. That said, my "I don't care" approach is less about interest and more about minimalism. My skincare philosophy is more concerned with achieving radiant, clear skin with limited product and minimal effort. And quality natural beauty products, always. So the facial Serum/Primer from New Zealand brand Aleph called my attention.
Aleph’s Serum Primer is multi-functional. I like the idea of buying one product and getting two, saving money and space. Generally speaking, I prefer serums. Maybe I am attracted by the lighter formula, seemingly stripped away from unnecessary ingredients, and the feeling as well. Also, they will leave my skin less greasy than a face cream. Or maybe it's just the dropper. And the Aleph Serum Primer encompasses all of these. I have to say, I didn't know what was a primer before acquiring this natural beauty product. Comparable to a skin filler, a primer prepares your skin to layer foundation, for a smooth and fresh finish. It's not a compulsory product I suppose but it helps improve radiance, makeup application is flawless, which I think is always welcome. And this Serum Primer has a third function, paired with the Concealer Foundation from Aleph. With clean fingers, combine a couple of drops with a quarter pea size of foundation to create a light veil and apply directly on the face, avoiding the eye area. The result is a flawless makeup finish for the days when you don’t need foundation on your skin.
For those interested in ingredients, this light golden liquid is vegan, cruelty-, fragrance-, palm oil-, gluten-, water-free, and ethical. But most importantly, the Aleph Serum Primer delivers superior skincare performance—addressing prevalent conditions, especially dryness, textural irregularities and ageing. The natural formula is loaded with highly concentrated active ingredients such as Jojoba, Macadamia and Safflower Oil. These nourishing ingredients seal the moisture into the skin, protecting, softening and deeply hydrating. Here it is assisted by Tsubaki Oil, Kakadu Plum Seed Oil and Tocopherol, elements packed with Vitamins A, C, D and E responsible for slowing the ageing process and regenerating skin condition. The serum also includes Sandalwood Oil, Hibiscus Flower Extract and Caprylic Capric Triglycerides (coconut kernel) that encourage skin rejuvenation, and Sunflower Seed Oil with Milk Thistle to clear congestion.
If you are not into chemistry, all you need to know is this: if your skin is slightly dull, dry, in need of daily regeneration, this natural facial serum primer is essential. I started using the Aleph Serum Primer a few months ago—now a significant part of my skincare routine. I love the non-sticky texture, how quick my skin absorbs the liquid. Also, the primer acts as a magnet for the foundation. As such, this Serum Primer is perfect for mornings, when time is precious. More importantly, I like how this facial Serum Primer imparts a glow on my skin without any greasiness at all. And according to the glowing customer reviews on the Aleph website, I am not the only one.
I think I will leave the last word to Penny "I've been using this oil for about two months. I love it. [...] Basically, if I could submerge myself in it, I would!".
