Utilise key products in the makeup kit by combining Cheek/Lip Tints to create different colours and so many more looks.
This week, Emma demonstrates the ultimate versatility of Aleph Cheek/Lip Tints by creating some of her favourite colour combinations.
Using the Mixing Tool, scrape out a tiny amount of each colour and mix on the back of the hand. Emma likes to use a 1:1 ratio, but this can be customised depending on the depth of colour desired.
For the cheeks, always use the fingertip to lightly smooth the colour over Concealer/Foundation. Then use a clean finger to gently blend the product into the cheeks.
Use either the fingertip or a lip brush to pop the colour onto the lips. The dense pigmentation of these makeup pots eliminates the need for lip liner, so the same colour can be applied with a lip brush to define the lipline.
One of Emma's lesser-known tricks is to use Serum/Primer to nourish and soften the lips before Cheek/Lip Tint application. Prep the lips by dabbing on a drop of Serum/Primer and letting that absorb for a few minutes. This is great for the winter when lips can become much drier.
Serum/Primer also makes for a quick and easy lip colour remover, perfect for nourishing the lips at the same time. When switching between colours (as Emma does in this video), Serum/Primer takes the colour straight off without stripping the sensitive skin on the lips.
Grounded + Pixie
This combination creates a beautiful rosy-neutral colour as Pixie adds warmth and Grounded neutralises.
Grounded is an amazing neutral on its own, but when combined with any of the other Cheek/Lip Tints, it tones down the colour. Neutralising the colour creates a beautiful rich, natural hue that adds versatility to your favourite Cheek/Lip Tint.
Terra + Crush
These colours are beautiful on their own but when combined, Terra and Crush create a deep, rich wine colour. This is a favourite for an intense winter look, or for those who already have pigment in their lip, it creates a natural-looking lip colour.
Pixie + Sun
Radiance ~ Sun adds a stunning bronze to Pixie's pink. The combination adds extra iridescence to the lips and makes the skin glow.
Crush + Grounded
This combination creates a creamy, matte rose colour. Without any iridescence, this combination of Crush and Grounded creates a deep, rich nude.
Ascend + Rêve
Create a bright colour pop by intensifying Rêve with the electric coral of Ascend. In turn, this downplays the coral tones for a strong, bright pink.
Rêve + Moon
Add pearlescence to the perfect baby pink Rêve with Radiance ~ Moon. A stunning combination to brighten or soften your favourite lip colour.
The infinite possibilities using minimal products show that there is no need to own 150 different colours, and have to choose between them each day.
Using a small, selective palette, you can mix and match to create a fully customised shade. Experiment with your favourite Cheek/Lip Tints to find the perfect ratio and once you've nailed the colour, you can keep the mix in an empty Aleph jar.
