I bought the first formula Aleph mascara when it came out, sadly with my oily eyelids it slid around my face no matter what I tried. I have since dabbled with tubing and waterproof mascaras, but with a recent breast cancer diagnosis I needed to find one with ingredients I felt safe using that would also perform well. This new (2025) formula is fantastic - no panda eyes, no excess bulk on the wand, no stinging, and healthier for my body. Well done Aleph on an incredible update to this product!

Great mascara, no irritation and easy to remove.

I like it but am not in love with it like I was hoping I would be. My main issue with it is that it leaves me with racoon eyes. You definitely only need one swipe of it so although it is pricey, you won't need much at all when you put it on (1 coat). I use it on the days that I know I don't have to go to the office, otherwise I do have to use my waterproof mascara (I know, I know <-- not good) but I haven't found a mascara that doesn't make me look like I've been crying all day :D

In general I love Aleph products and there is a lot to like about this mascara. From the packaging in the glass container to the ease with which it can be applied to give a clump free natural look with the ability to change this to a more dramatic appearance with a couple of brush strokes. This will however not be a product I will not repurchase as I seem to have a serious reaction to it after a few hours with stinging and eyes tearing. This is the first time I have encountered such a reaction to mascara. Seems there are so many great reviews with few others experiencing a problem but sadly for me this isn’t a mascara that my eyes can tolerate.

The first thing I noticed about this mascara is the scent — it’s surprisingly strong, and I’ve never used a mascara with such a noticeable fragrance before.

In terms of performance, it gives a very natural look. It doesn’t clump and applies quite cleanly, but it doesn’t add much length or volume.

The packaging is really nice and it’s easy to use without getting messy, which I appreciate.

Overall, it’s a decent mascara, but the scent is a bit too strong for me and the effect is quite subtle, so I probably wouldn’t repurchase. That said, it could be a good option if you prefer a more natural look.
