Juggling Captain Training and Content Creation - LeeAnn Yare's Secrets to Staying Grounded (and Glowing)

June 04, 2025

By day, she takes to the skies as an airline pilot (currently deep in the process of upgrading to captain), but her creative world spans far beyond the cockpit.

With a love for interiors, styling, writing, and content creation, LeeAnn’s career is a vibrant tapestry of passion projects turned profession - from authoring books and owning a retail store to working in the beauty, food, and fashion spaces.

We sat down with Leanne to chat about juggling it all, the mindset that keeps her moving forward, and the Aleph must-haves she always reaches for.

Hi LeeAnn! Can you share what’s currently lighting you up - whether it’s a project you’re working on or something you’re completely captivated by right now?

I’m a bit of a Jane-of-all-trades 😂 my day job is as an airline pilot, but I’ve delved into a lot of side hustles over the years…mostly interiors styling + writing but also fashion, food + beauty, I’ve authored two interior books, owned a retail store, + currently I work in the social media space as a content creator. I’m currently under training upgrading from first officer to captain which is all consuming right now.

Your career spans aviation, interiors, styling, and content creation - What advice would you offer to other women who want to pursue multi-faceted careers?

Everything is possible, don’t put limitations on yourself. Look to create opportunities even where it seems there may be none. Work hard. upskill. Gain experience. Say yes, work out how to do it later. Surround yourself with like minded people and collaborate.

How would you describe your personal style?

Ever evolving. Chill. Modern. Classic. I love the creative pragmatist approach that the fashion brand Tibi is synonymous for.

How do you take care of your wellbeing day-to-day? Are there non-negotiables in your wellness routine?

All-in-moderation. In my world it’s impossible to be completely committed to anything specifically so I do the best I can with an all rounded approach. I prioritise moving my body, taking care of my skin, and I’m much better with supplements than I have been previously.

Has your perception of beauty shifted throughout your career and life journey? What does beauty mean to you now?

Definitely. I remember a time I wouldn’t leave the house without full face of makeup, but now I have learnt how to love and take care of my skin, so I prefer a less is more approach and often go make up free. I love multitasking products, and a quick + easy makeup look that enhances without complete coverage but can easily be touched up to turn day into night. But if it’s an occasion I still love a complete makeup look and love nothing more than having my makeup applied by a professional!

What are your top Aleph Beauty must-haves?

Where to start…Smoothing skin tint! It has a great finish + spf. Cheek lip tint is the perfect multitasker. Serum/Primer makes my skin feel amazing! Lip gloss balm, is a no brainer on its own or over colour. Prep/Finish Powder, another two in one product I use all the time even without makeup!
